interjection
- imitation of a sound effect traditionally used in cartoons after something unfortunate happens to a character. The second "womp" is spoken at a lower pitch. Almost always used sarcastically to indicate that the speaker doesn't care.

P.S. Sorry about the censored citations. Google has a manual penalty against the dictionaryand I'm hoping that the censorship will satisfy Google. (There's a bunch of information about the penalty here.)
